Hi! I’m Lluís 👋
I write software for a living – currently at Eventbrite – as well as a hobby. I started coding back in 2006 and haven’t stopped since then.
About this site
This website is a mix of an online CV and a personal blog I started back in 2008 – and grown fond of enough to not erase everything. That’s why you will find ancient content in Spanish as well as not-so-old content in English.
I also keep updated a timeline of public projects I’ve been involved into, just so I don’t forget about them.
My projects
Nowadays I mostly write TypeScript either for the browser (usually Vue.js or React but sometimes vanilla JS, too) or the server (Node.js).
I’m maintaining a few Open Source NPM packages and Docker images but I’m also working on unannounced side projects – check out my Github profile to see what I’m working on right now.
From time to time I also write about programming here.
Maintained Open Source projects
These are the Open Source projects I’m currently maintaining.
-
A Github action to upload assets to and download them from any AWS S3-compatible service.
-
A Github action to interact with packages defined in a Yarn workspace.
-
A Github action to get upload code coverage reports to Code Climate.
-
A Github action to get changed packages and changesets.
-
An NPM package to get the content length of a stream.
-
An NPM package that returns the duration of a video file or stream.
-
An NPM package that returns the duration of an audio file or stream.
3rd party Open Source projects
Even though I contributed to more third-party Open Source projects, here I’ll list only those where my contribution is significant.
-
My biggest Open Source project so far – a large collection of reusable Vue.js components.
Old Open Source projects
There are a lot of old, unmaintained, Open Source projects I authored and you can see them either on Github or in my timeline.
Below I’ll list only those that are recent and complex enough to maybe be worth checking.
-
A cross-platform (iOS and Android) mobile game engine powering a couple of iOS games.
-
A small turn-based strategy game for NintendoDS, built using libnds.
Old commercial projects
These are some of for-profit projects. Some of them are free and ads-powered while others have a required payment to run them.
This list is just a showcase of those projects I liked the most but you can find more commercial projects in the timeline.
-
A chill infinite horizontal scroller, built with MawKit.
-
A pixel-art infinite vertical scroller, built with MawKit.
-
An arcade game built with SpriteKit.
-
My first iOS app, published in 2011.
I removed the paid version from the app store when I stopped maintaining it.
My work
In January 2020 I joined Eventbrite as a Senior Software Engineer in the checkout team. Here I mostly work on the frontend of the checkout widget used by all the attendees and displayed in third-party sites and apps.
